All the Way

I finally managed to use the rest of the iTunes gift certificate that my friend John gave me for my birthday. Here are the last fifteen tunes I added to my music library:

1. Breakdown Dead Ahead, Boz Scaggs - This song rocks. I love singing along with it!

2. Breathe, Michelle Branch - It seems like every chick flick uses this upbeat number for its trailers. Still, it's energetic and great for doing cardio!

3. Killing the Blues, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant - God I love this song! Every time it comes up on my iPod, I keep hitting replay over and over. I never get sick of hearing it...

4. Paralyzer, Finger Eleven - Hardcore workout song.

5. Low, Flo Rida - My brother David laughed at this hip-hop artist's name but you can't argue with the catchiness of this tune.

6. Cyclone, Baby Bash - Mesmerizing hip-hop beat.

7. How Far We’ve Come, Matchbox Twenty - I have Jay Leno to thank for this pick! Driving beat, great for a workout playlist...

8. Cities in Dust, Siouxsie and the Banshees - Reliving the 80s. The GOOD music 80s, none of that Aha! @#$%...

9. Believe, The Bravery - My interest is piqued on the upcoming release of Henry Poole is Here. Mainly due to this song played during the trailer.

10. The Last Resort, Eagles - From their Hotel California album, this is the best Eagles song EVER. Sure, there are the hits--Peaceful Easy Feeling, Desperado, Life in the Fast Lane--but this melancholy ode to the loss of California's innocence is sublime and poignant.

11. Two of Us, Aimee Mann & Michael Penn - I love this Beatles tune and this cover was the best rendition (other than the original) I could find.

12. Good-bye to You, Patty Smyth - Again, indulging in the 80s. Yeah, it's a bit cheesy but I love the @#$% you sentiment of the song.

13. How Soon is Now, Morrissey - Live version, still trippy...

14. New Soul, Yael Naim - I heard this in yoga class courtesy of instructor Jessa who has great taste in music. It's one of those songs that instantly hooks you.

15. They, Jem - Another song that instantly hooks you again courtesy of Jessa...

  1. Went to this great singer/songwriter night. Such good talent. Check out Kina Grannis (she won a big Superbowl contest this past year) and Keaton Simmons. Some really good stuff!

  2. My friend Stevie is a Keaton Simmons fan. You should check out her blog LAStory.com. I know she's posted about him quite often...

My poor iPod nano is going to be bursting!
