On the heels of Karl Rove's announcement that he will be leaving the White House and politics, Dan Rather will be presenting a report detailing the vote count fiascos of the last several elections. The report will premiere on HDNet cable channel on Tuesday, August 14th--8 pm EDT.
From what I've read, it seems Rather's report will focus on unreliable touch screen machines and hanging chads due to defective paper, and not Rove's possible connection to numerous irregularities in the last two Presidential elections--irregularities which led to outcomes far different than exit polls and popular vote would have indicated. For more insight into the issue of possible fraud in the 2004 election, you might want to check out the documentary Stealing America: Vote by Vote or Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11.
In any case, with the 2008 Presidential election coming up, this is an important issue to discuss and resolve--before we end up with yet another President that the majority of Americans did not want or vote for.
