L.A. Story--this is my friend Stevie's blog--about fashion, music, style, beauty, trends. If it's hot and new and cool, she knows about it and blogs about it. She also has a cool website--steviewilsonla.com.
Defamer--Gossip, gossip and more gossip. With an insider vibe and snarky, snide tone, Defamer bills itself as the gossip rag L.A. deserves. And boy does it ever!
Celebritology--The Washington Post's Liz Kelly blogs about celebrities, pop culture and leads a weekly dissection of Lost (when the show is airing!). Once a year, blog readers vote on the Lizzie's--a collection of dubious honors bestowed on a variety of unwitting (and often witless) celebrities. Like the Celebritology version of the Oscars--only the biggest award isn't Best Picture, it's "biggest celebrity trainwreck" (Britney's baldness notwithstanding, my money's on Isaiah Washington).

Because I'm a writer I love reading blogs by other writers, such as:
By Ken Levine--the world as seen by a TV comedy writer. Ken is an Emmy winning writer/director/producer/major league baseball announcer (actually I don't think he won an Emmy for the baseball announcing). In his career, he has worked on M.A.S.H., CHEERS, Frasier, The Simpsons, WINGS, Everybody Loves Raymond, Becker, Dharma& Greg--to name a few--and his blog is loaded with great war stories and behind the scenes scoops! As well as an interesting obsession with American Idol...
Sex in a Submarine--as titillating as the title sounds, Bill Martell's blog deals the ironic, moronic, mystifying and the mundane as a working screenwriter. Filled with humorous insights and nuts-and-bolts nitty gritty, this blog is always an entertaining read.

John August--yet another well-written blog by the writer of Go, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the Johnny Depp version. John was only 1 year old when "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"--the Gene Wilder version--was released). Mostly the blog answers reader submitted questions on writing, but occasionally John blogs about his obsession with World of Warcraft, tweaking Final Draft and my favorite--Idiocy on Parade, a feature in which he answers (in the snarkiest way possible) questions sent to Walter Scott’s Personality Parade®.
So we've covered many of my major interests--shopping, gossip and writing. Maybe one day MY blog will be on someone's list of favorites.
What blogs do you frequent?
I too, love gossip and writing! I added your blog to my Google Reader feed.
